Welcome home

Military homecoming ceremonies are extra special to my heart. As an army brat, veteran, and military spouse, I have experienced deployments from a lot of angles.


I'll never forget when my own father surprised me at school and twirled me around after a long assignment in the Middle East. I'll never forget the feeling of pride that I had marching into the gym after a deployment to Afghanistan. And I'll never forget watching my own husband tearfully embrace our own child after ten months away.


Homecoming ceremonies are full of raw emotion. There is no hiding the tears of joy, relief, and overwhelming love at these ceremonies. It is my privilege to document these amazing moments for military families.

Note: As your homecoming photographer, I am happy to meet you at your house to capture sign making and all the anticipation. I find this helpful so kids are more at ease with me documenting them. We will then travel to the event and capture all the formal and informal parts of the redeployment. Finally, because these ceremonies are such emotional and unpredictable scenarios, especially for children, I am happy to return with you and capture the more calm, raw moments.
